Solomon and John
John Smith: Solomon! So glad I found you after all this time. Thirty years, is it?
Solomon Grundy: Forty more like. Isn’t Facebook wonderful? I’ve thought of you over the years.
John Smith: Me, too. There’s this rhyme. Whenever I hear it I think of you.
Solomon Grundy: What rhyme is that?
John Smith: It goes like this. Solomon Grundy, born on Monday, christened on Tuesday, married on Wednesday, took ill on Thursday, grew worse on Friday, died on

What a unfortunate poetic way to go.
This is hilarious! What a creative take on the prompt. Good writing.
I haven’t done this challenge for a couple of months myself. Just busy in different directions. But I enjoy it. I also do Friday Fictioneers as often as I can. The 100-word stories are really good discipline for me, because I have a constant battle with wordiness.
Glad to meet you.
Thank you 🙂 Perhaps they aren’t good for me because I have a constant battle with brevity.
Glad to meet you, too.
I love you header photo/artwork
Thank you again 🙂
Haha. I just read an incredibly sad entry and now your piece has cheered me right back up. Absolutely wonderful.
Didn’t you shed a tear for poor Solomon Grundy? I guess not.
Glad to have cheered you up 🙂
I like it, you should too! 🙂
Now that I’ve had such positive comments, I’m beginning to see it in a new light.
Cheery piece for the modern world! Hahaha, like it!
You’ve created a cheery smile 🙂
Haha! Made me laugh… Not sure what that says about me!
Don’t worry about it – you’re in good company!
